Announced 7 June the WA State Government has introduced the $20,000 Building Bonus Grant to any West Australian building a new house or purchasing a property in a single-tier development already under construction. This Grant will be available until the end of the year and will not be means-tested or have any cap on the property value.
Building Bonus Grant is complementary to the Federal Government’s $25,000 HomeBuilder Grant and to existing State First Home Owner Grant programs, stamp duty concessions and other grant schemes, as well as the Commonwealth’s First Home Loan Deposit Scheme and First Home Super Saver Scheme. First homebuyers could access up to $69,440 in Government Assistance!

Announced 4 June as an economic response to the current climate, the HomeBuilder scheme will provide eligible home owner-occupiers (including first home buyers) with a Federal Government Grant of $25,000 to build a new home or substantially renovate an existing home where the contract is signed between 4 June 2020 and 31 December 2020. Construction must commence within three months of the contract date.

Beginning 1 January 2020, the Australian Government designed an initiative to support eligible home buyers purchase their first home.
10,000 scheme places were made available in the first release, with 3,000 registered within the first few weeks!

Keystart is a ‘Low Deposit’ home loan which is available to anyone who qualifies under the current income limits, as a generous initiative of the Western Australian Government. As long as you don’t currently own any home or land at the time of settlement, then this home loan is available to first time and subsequent home buyers.
To qualify, potential buyers must not exceed the income caps set out.
In addition to the provision of affordable finance options, Keystart’s most attractive feature is the requirement for a minimal deposit. It can be from as low as 2% of the property’s total purchase price. And this is an ideal solution for first home buyers, particularly those who are renting, as the First Home Owner’s Grant can help to contribute towards the deposit.
